The thesis behind this investor group is based on the following four beliefs:

Premise 1: Access to quality deal flow.

As a well-known author (and micro-influencer?) in the business acquisition space, as well as a private investor for almost 2-decades, I found I was getting a perpetually increasing deal flow of investment opportunities in the private markets with very-promising, above-market returns. This wasn’t just represented in quantity of deals, I found my work had built up a flywheel over the last 18 years and I was getting access to certain quality opportunities no one else was seeing.

I wanted to build passive cash flow and financial independence, which led me to…

Premise 2: For those that had achieved a significant $1 – 5 million net worth, the odds that they were going to get to $20-30 million was statistically 0%.

I began to work on a framework of reverse engineering the investment practices of Ultra High Net Worth individuals (those over $30 million) and creating frameworks around my ideas and research. This lead to me creating the concept of the Wealth Stack and implementing it in my own investment strategy. I found that after owning a business, accelerating wealth through minority and limited partner investments was a great way to scale and diversify in the private markets—increasing outsized returns all while derisking through a diversified strategy.

I was surprised to learn that scaling wealth via private investments was faster an easier to implement then buying 2-dozen of my own businesses. Leveraging other markets and management teams was a new form of leverage I began to execute at scale myself and have thus far generated an equal amount of wealth via private investing as I have buying my own businesses… and much more passively.

Premise 3: Interest is strength.

I was gaining interest from hundreds of people (maybe thousands) wondering what businesses I was buying or what investments I was making. I tested this by sharing an investment I was making myself and inviting my audience to invest alongside me if they were interested. I quickly raised millions of dollars and oversubscribed the raise in less than a day. This confirmed that there was interest from my audience to invest alongside me.

Premise 4: This power can be leveraged by all of us.

The results of that one campaign immediately resulted in me gaining exclusive access to a dozen related deals, and opened additional doors I didn’t exactly see. Other sponsors I was invested in immediately came to me instead of others with their next opportunity. I was able to leverage the hope of a quick raise for either exclusive access and / or significantly better terms for all of us.

In addition, Acquisition Lab is the largest group of vetted, active business acquisition searchers in the world. Unlocking this army of acquisition entrepreneurs could prove very promising for minority investors looking to passively invest, while also allowing Lab members opportunities to acquire and run businesses historically too large to buy alone.

FAQs

Why is this so cheap?

My goal is to make this a “no-brainer” investment for accredited investors. I’ve been a part of many investment groups in the $10,000 - $60,000 range and I find myself questioning the value as a percentage of money I’m investing. By having a low monthly price, my goal is to build a higher volume of engaged and vetted investors in the hundreds, which will give us greater leverage with sponsors and entrepreneurs. I want exclusive access and better terms, which comes through volume of investment. Moreover, I am exploring increasing my own role as a fund or SPV manager, sponsoring deals, and or sharing my GP real estate deals. I always want to make my living inside the deal, not from potential co-investor Mastermind fees.

What do you use the money for?

The goal is to use the proceeds of this group to continue to find deals, as well as cover additional vetting typically not done at the limited partner level. This is new so I’m not going to formerly use the word “diligence” just yet, but that’s directionally what the plan is here. Of course, you should always do your own diligence before investing. Other than that, it will pay for any staff, software, speakers, advertising, and overhead that comes with running a group. At this introductory price it will only work at scale.

Are you able to give financial advice?

Nope. No legal advice either. I also don’t deliver babies. This is for entertainment purposes only. There is risk in investments, and I have made terrible investments along the way and expect I will in the future. I take calculated risk and try to never lose money. In the end you need the good ones to be more than the bad ones. So far, this has worked well for me.

Do you guarantee returns?

Of course not. Ultimately, the gist here is I would like to share what I am investing in myself or opportunities that I am putting together. You need to decide for yourself.

Do I have to sign up for the mastermind to get access to your deals?

You will need to be a member to get access to some deals but certainly not all. The mastermind will get first access to all deals and I would expect will fill the smaller ones. I also expect some deals will only be offered to members. However, if I’m going to take one of my own deals out, you can hear about it on the investors list as long as the mastermind doesn’t fill it.
